God lives in the detail 1997 Exhibition at "Kunstindustrimuseet", "God lives in the detail" was an exhibition by the cabinetmakers association. It consisted of a lot of wood joints (many of them were Japanese style). The wood joints were able to separate so the guests could get an idea of the art of wood joinery. In the middle of the room was a piece of furniture with frames where you could study different veneers, inlay and Japanese Kumiko patterns. The piece also had a horizontal ”roll-front” race track. The show piece was a chair, made of 4 different hardwoods joined in 17 different ways. :: Click here to se the chair turns around! The exhibition was supported by |
